Why go diving with Nitrox? Because diving with oxygen-enriched air gives you more time without stops, especially in repetitive dives. If staying underwater longer on dives and getting back in the water sooner sounds appealing, then feel free to become an enriched air diver. If you are finishing your Open Water Diver course as a referral or you are certified (Junior) Open Water Diver and you are at least 10 years old, you can enroll in the enriched air specialty course. What will you learn?

• Techniques to spend more time diving through the use of enriched air nitrox
• Enriched Air Diving Equipment Considerations.
• Enriched air considerations, including oxygen exposure management, how to ensure what’s in your scuba tank, and how to set up your dive computer

During a hands-on session, and two optional dives, you will:

• Talk about managing oxygen exposure
• Practice analyzing oxygen content in the scuba tank
• Set the dive computer for nitrox enriched air diving

Day 1 – You will take the PADI Enriched Air Diver Manual to prepare the theory and the next day you can meet with your instructor for a lesson for which to discuss the knowledge reviews and plan the 2 optional dives in case you choose to practice the information you have learned.
