FLY WITH THE CURRENT

Many of the dive destinations around the world are famous for their currents. Always performed with the support of a dive boat, drift dives allow divers to cover long distances underwater, possibly seeing more habitats and formations than usual.

The PADI Current Diving Specialty Course shows you how to enjoy the currents of rivers and oceans by “going with it”, staying with your partner, communicating with the dive boat and knowing where you are at all times. It feels like flying – except that you are underwater wearing scuba gear. Drift diving can be relaxing and exhilarating at the same time. If this sounds like fun, then the Drift Diver course is for you.

If you are a PADI Open Water Diver (Junior) with at least 12 years of age, you can enroll in the Drift Diver specialty course.

Reading the PADI Drift Diver manual and the knowledge reviews will allow you to prepare the theory and discuss the notions learned and plan the 2 dives of the course.
Along with proper techniques and procedures in drift diving, you will:

• Receive an introduction to drift diving equipment – floats, lines and reels.
• Get an overview of water currents – causes and effects.
• Practice with buoyancy, navigation, and communication control during two drift dives.
• Learn techniques for staying close to a friend or together as a group as they float with the current.

INCLUDED:
Annual PADI Drift Diver, certification, complete diving equipment (BCD, regulator, console, wetsuit, fins, mask), weights, tanks, surface marker buoys and floats with lines and reels, water and a snack on board NOT INCLUDED Transportation / hotel / food on land
